After finishing Ryerson’s RTA program in 1981, went on to work in the creative departments of some of the most awarded ad agencies in Canada including Campbell-Ewald, Lowe Goodgoll, Doyle Dane Bernbach and Chiat/Day.

Co-founds Pirate Radio & Television in 1990, specializing in the writing and directing of radio commercials, and the creation of music and sound for television. Pirate grows to become the largest and most awarded audio production company in Canada, with nine recording studios Toronto and New York, 3 production suites, a sound-effects division, a casting company and a branded entertainment department.

Has won over 400 national and international awards for writing and directing. Consults with advertisers on effective strategic and creative solutions. Hosts sold-out radio workshops for the advertising industry every year. Delivers keynote speeches on branding and the power of creativity across Canada.

Featured on cover of Marketing Magazine in 2004. Chosen as one of Canada’s “Most Influential” marketing people in Marketing Magazine’s “Power 100 List.” Chosen as the sole Canadian judge for the inaugural year of Radio at the 2005 Cannes Advertising Festival in France. Picked as Radio Chairman at the 2006 International Clio Awards in Miami.

Hosts the popular radio series, “The Age of Persuasion” airing on CBC Radio One in Canada and across North America on Sirius Satellite.

Was given the 2006 Les Usherwood Lifetime Achievement Award, one of the advertising industry’s highest honours.

Has a wonderful wife and three lovely daughters.
