Mentor Programs – Speed Mentoring and Mentor Exchange

Marketing Hall of Legends Legacy has launched two Mentoring initiatives with the vision to inspire and develop the Canadian marketing talent of today to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Speed Mentoring:

The event is designed to bring together emergent marketers to connect with today’s leaders in one night, helping to lay the foundation for professional development. The "speed dating" model is used to allow for as many conversations as possible in "shifts" of quick meetings.

Mentor Exchange:

Mentor Exchange responds to the need for external mentoring – taking it outside of the corporate doors. The program matches over 50 top Canadian marketing executives and business leaders who have committed to form mentoring relationships that will enable the exchange of knowledge with the next generation of talent. The intention is to help create future Legends in an organized, systematic approach. Mentors participating in this program are from companies such as: Indigo Chapters, RBC Financial Group, Loblaw Companies Limited, CTV and Sick Kids Foundation.

Note: Mentor Programs are only offered in the Greater Toronto area at this time. However, once the pilot proves successful, our vision is to extend the program throughout Canada.

Term or Word:
National Anthem

Definition:
"A school teacher came up to us sometime in our first year in Toronto and said ‘I teach grade one, and you might be amused to hear this. At the start of the school year, I was going to teach my students the national anthem. So I asked the class, "who knows the Canadian national anthem?" And little Johnny put up his hand and sang Sleep Country Canada.'"
